We are currently looking for a FLT Operator role available at Kemsley Mill for our client DS Smith. This role is ideal for someone with a valid FLT licence and experience with Forklift for both Counterbalance in previous roles.
Location: DS Smith Packaging, Kemsley Mill, Sittingbourne ME10 2TD
Rate: £16 per hour
Contract length: 3 months initial contract with possibility of extension
Shift Patterns: 60 Hours per week, shift rotation: X1 week of day shifts, X1 week of night shifts and then X1 week off
Responsibilities:
- Operate a Forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials and finished goods to various warehouse areas.
- Follow all plant and safety standards including wearing proper PPE.
- Loading and unloading of trailers.
- Careful handling of finished goods.
- Managing shipping and receiving work.
- Read and interpret the Vendor Bill of Lading.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Management.
Essential requirements:
- Experience with valid Counterbalance and in a Warehouse/Manufacturing environment.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Ability to work to the shift pattern at all times.
- Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work as a Team player as well as on own initiative.
