A leading global organisation in the tech and telecoms sector is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join its dynamic HR team in London on a 12 month contract. Offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking company experiencing rapid growth across the EMEA region.
As part of a collaborative HR team, you'll be responsible for managing complex ER issues, driving process improvements, and partnering closely with legal and HR stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage ER-related cases including performance issues, grievances, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
- Coach and guide managers on ER best practices and case management.
- Handle cases through a ticketing system (Freshdesk) and monitor key trends.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure processes are compliant with local labour laws.
- Keep current with employment laws, especially in the UK, Germany, France, and the UAE.
- Lead initiatives that promote a positive employee experience and proactive ER strategies.
- Responding to ER queries from employees and managers.
- Conducting sensitive investigations and producing detailed reports.
- Advising on performance improvement plans (PIPs) and policy interpretation.
- Extensive experience in ER, ideally as a specialist or generalist where ER is a core focus.
- Confident managing ER cases independently, using sound judgement and initiative.
- Knowledge of Freshdesk or similar ticketing systems.
- Strong legal compliance awareness and experience working in global organisations.
- Preferred experience in tech or telecoms and familiarity with Workday ATS.
