Account Manager - Pharma Client

Employer: Randstad (Based permanently on-site with our client)

Location: Ideally based near Witney, Abingdon, or Maidenhead

Travel: Full UK Account Network (Includes occasional travel to Dundee, Sittingbourne, and London)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:30 (with a bit of flexibility)

Flexibility: 4 days on-site, 1 day working from home

The Reality of the Role

We are looking for someone who loves being visible, building real relationships, and driving operational excellence from the ground up. In this role, you will be a permanent Randstad employee, but you'll be based directly on-site with our client, managing a dedicated white‑collar workforce solution for a major Pharma business. Because presence and partnership are everything here, you'll be embedded on-site 4 days a week, keeping your finger on the pulse of the account. You must have a full UK driver’s licence and be ready to travel across the UK as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead an on‑site team of 3 Randstad professionals, acting as the critical bridge between the client, your team, and Randstad’s backend supporting functions (Compliance, Payroll, Billing, and Recruitment Delivery).
• Relationship & Vacancy Management – partner closely with the client’s hiring managers to maximise vacancy capture, managing and tracking up to 70 open white‑collar requisitions at any time, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Data & Tech – live and breathe VMS data (ideally B‑Line), conduct monthly compliance audits, oversee invoicing, resolve queries, and track actions.
• Strategic Growth – analyse account data, build compelling presentations and deliver strategic reviews that align Randstad’s commercial priorities with the client’s vision.

What We Need From You

• Recruitment Account Management – proven track record managing large‑scale, outsourced white‑collar recruitment solutions (onsite or managed service provider experience ideal).
• VMS Expertise – heavy experience navigating VMS systems (B‑Line experience a massive plus).
• Data Literacy – ability to analyse spreadsheets, identify narrative and turn it into polished presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Leadership & Escalation Skills – motivate a small team and manage tough conversations with client stakeholders or internal HR.
• Strong Communication – adapt style when speaking with warehouse managers, lab researchers or corporate executives.
