Job Details & Pay

  • Job Title: Manufacturing Operative
  • Job Type: Temporary - ongoing
  • Location: Shrewsbury, SY1 3NX
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday, 07:30 AM - 17:15 PM (Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week!)
  • Pay Rate: £14.31 - £15.74 per hour (dependent on experience)
  • Overtime Opportunities: Available at business discretion for work from Friday onwards
  • Premium Rates: Sunday shifts are paid at premium overtime rates!

Key Responsibilities

  • Sub-assembling and disassembling engine components ready for build
  • Assembling parts accurately within specified 'Takt time' targets
  • Performing visual quality checks to maintain high standards
  • Using air, hand, and press power tools to insert friction‑fit parts
  • Setting and operating torque wrenches
  • Following strict standard operating procedures, PPE guidelines, and Health & Safety rules
  • Performing manual lifting and working safely with high‑vibration tools
  • Working collaboratively within a dynamic team or independently as required

What We Are Looking For

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly environments
  • Hands‑on experience with air guns, drills, and standard hand tools
  • A strong understanding of safe working practices and Health & Safety standards
  • Excellent communication skills and a team‑first attitude
  • High attention to detail and quality focus
  • Basic PC / IT skills (full training provided for in‑house software)
