Start Date: October 5th, 2026 Shifts: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, flexibility required) About the Role: Randstad is recruiting for a temporary Research & Development (R&D) Operative in the Bournville site. This 12-week assignment offers a unique opportunity to work within the R&D department, supporting the development of some of the nation's favorite chocolate brands. This role involves hands-on product creation and requires a meticulous approach. Please note: A Confidentiality Agreement must be signed prior to starting this role. Key Responsibilities: Hand moulding of shelled chocolate products (e.g., Oreo or Caramel bars). Safe operation of low-hazard, low-complexity equipment. Manual handling tasks, including the physical lifting and shifting of products and ingredients. Applying Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) knowledge to ensure safety and quality standards. Identifying and promptly reporting any inaccuracies or quality issues. Maintaining a high level of attention to detail throughout all processes. Requirements: Strong attention to detail. Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and shifting products. Competence in basic Literacy and Mathematics. Ability to observe, notice, and report inaccuracies effectively. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Ideal Candidate: Experience in a culinary, catering, or pastry chef environment is highly advantageous, though not essential.
