An opportunity has arisen for a Logistics role, working within the Logistics Stores area of the Shrewsbury business. The advertised role is intended for an individual to be versatile throughout the Logistics Stores department for roles of the grade highlighted. Successful candidates must be self-starters with the enthusiasm and tenacity to succeed, striving to become a subject matter expert in all processes within the Shrewsbury Logistics team. There is a requirement for this candidate to be self-sufficient in day to day activities. This includes relevant screenwork and vehicle licenses/experience. Additional training, if needed will be provided to the successful candidate. The position reports to the Logistics Team Leader. Key Responsibilities include: Provide versatile support to all departmental areas including and not limited to PI, Goods Inwards, Carousel, Lineside water-spider roles, Core Receiving, Kitting and the Vixen Wash. Ability to drive host of on-site vehicles to aid material support, including being ramp trained. Team member on full stock takes at the Shrewsbury Facility if required. Subject matter expert on Logistics process improvement projects (support any STF activity & drive for RCCA) Key team member for Logistics QAD-EE transactions, including and not limited to backflushing, MX / MXREQ and Material Loan request processes on-site for material feed to Operations. Support packaging of engines and transmissions Support shrink wrap activities Provide initial & ongoing training to new team members Desired Key Skills and Attributes: Willingness and enthusiasm to succeed and complete tasks to deadlines. Good planning and organizational skills are required, as are teamwork skills. Good communication and analytical skills will assist the candidate in meeting the roles objectives. Ability to communicate at local levels within the Shrewsbury Facility. Proactive Safety approach to situations. Computer literate – ERP Systems, Microsoft Office. Good understanding of Logistics maintenance screens within QAD-EE. Good understanding of Manufacturing processes. Good understanding of BOM structures / Material allocation processes. Ability to improve and evolve reporting mechanism to support department metrics. License to drive on-site vehicles: Bradshaw, Counter Balance & Pivot Truck for material access.
