Job Summary
- Job Type: Temporary - Ongoing
- Standard Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Thursday)
- Pay Rates: Day Shift: £14.27/hr, Night Shift: £19.03/hr, Overtime (First 10 hours): £21.41/hr, Overtime (After 10 hours): £28.54/hr
- Shift Patterns: Day Shift Monday: 07:00 - 17:15, Day Shift Tuesday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:45, Night Shift Monday: 21:00 - 07:15, Night Shift Tuesday to Thursday: 21:00 - 06:45 (Note: Shift times may vary slightly depending on work location within the facility)
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret complex schematic drawings to plan assembly methods and sequences.
- Perform diverse electrical tasks, including wiring, installation, terminations, panel connections, crimping, and upfitting cable trays/ladder racks and conduits on gensets and enclosures.
- Safely operate a wide variety of power and hand tools.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain strict compliance with site health, safety, quality standards, and the 5S programme.
- Train and mentor team members when required, upholding company core values.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualifications: Formal Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or an equivalent relevant electrical qualification (or NVQ Level 2 with trade experience looking to upskill).
- Hands-on Experience: Proven track record in electrical wiring, installation, terminations, panel connection, and conduit/cable tray fitting.
- Environment: Experience within a lean manufacturing environment and working to defined process times is preferred.
- Capabilities & Mindset: Comfortable working at heights and in enclosed/confined areas, paired with strong attention to detail and a proactive safety attitude.
- IT Skills: Basic computer literacy is advantageous.
