Assembly Operative - Peterlee

Role Overview
As an Assembly Operative, you will be a key player in our production process, ensuring that our products are assembled to the highest standards. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract running until November 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 36.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Assemble components and products following detailed work instructions.
- Operate air and battery-powered tools, including torque wrenches, to complete assembly tasks.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure all output meets company standards.
- Always maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Proactively report any defects or production issues to the line leader.
- Work collaboratively to ensure daily production targets are consistently achieved.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical work instructions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to remain focused and efficient in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Eagerness to learn new processes and strictly adhere to company safety procedures.
Competitive Pay:
Day shift: £17.70 - £20.33 per hour
Afternoon shift: £21.24 - £24.40 per hour
Night shift: £23.90 - £27.45 per hour
Shift Patterns
Day shift: Mon-Thu 08:00-16:00, Fri 08:00-12:30
Back-shift: Mon-Thu 16:00-00:00, Fri 12:30-17:00
Night shift: Mon-Thu 00:00-08:00, Fri 17:00-21:30
Bonuses: Monthly attendance bonus and monthly truck bonuses.
Overtime: Frequent opportunities available; paid at time and a half (Monday-Saturday) and double time on Sundays.
