Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager who will lead large-scale delivery activity within a specialist internal programme. This will cover the migration of the Guidewire Claims platform from on-premise to cloud and the subsequent integration of a new business area onto the new cloud-based claims system. The programme is business critical, high visibility and subject to significant governance oversight. The role requires a highly experienced delivery professional capable of operating autonomously in a complex, multistakeholder environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end to end delivery of major workstreams across migration, integration and operating model change.
- Oversee delivery plans, RAID management, governance reporting and milestones across technology, operations and business teams.
- Manage dependencies across multiple platforms, suppliers and internal functions.
- Ensure readiness for internal audit, regulatory standards, service requirements, and all associated governance frameworks.
- Drive operational readiness and transition planning for handlers adopting the new claims platform.
- Engage senior stakeholders in technology partners and integration teams.
- Work closely with external consultancy partners delivering components of the solution.
- Provide clear communication upwards and across the programme, ensuring transparency on risks, issues and progress.
- Support operating model development and change adoption planning for impacted teams.
- Ensure delivery aligns with programme principles, security standards, cloud architecture and target operating model requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience delivering large-scale migration, integration or transformation programmes within insurance or financial services.
- Strong background in complex change delivery involving multiple systems, cloud environments and operational change.
- Experience with Guidewire, claims platforms or large insurance systems is highly desirable.
- Experience delivering in an environment with strong audit, compliance, security and service expectations.
- Comfortable working with consultancy partners and operating in a mixed delivery model.
- Demonstrable experience engaging senior stakeholders across technology and business functions.
- Strong governance discipline, including RAID, status reporting, dependency management and structured programme controls.
- Experience leading significant operating model changes, business readiness or large-scale process transformations (especially for roles focused on operational impacts).
- Ability to work under pressure on high-profile programmes with accelerated timelines and complex risk profiles.
