Overview
This Project Manager role will lead and deliver business-critical change activity associated with the integration and reinsurance of business into the organisation under existing quota share treaties. The position is accountable for planning, coordinating, and delivering workstreams including treaty development, operational readiness, governance approvals, and regulatory milestones. Additionally, the role ensures project delivery aligns with governance, risk appetite, and regulatory expectations while managing stakeholders in a complex, highly governed environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct the delivery of critical workstreams supporting the integration and reinsurance of the business, ensuring alignment with overall program timelines and milestones.
- Create and manage detailed project plans covering treaty readiness, operational readiness, and broader integration activities.
- Monitor delivery against key milestones and proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies to ensure project success.
- Maintain strict adherence to organisational governance frameworks, including the preparation of reporting for steering committees and working groups.
- Create high-quality, board-ready outputs, such as status reports, dashboards, and content for governance and operational readiness papers.
- Act as a central coordination point for stakeholders, ensuring priorities and requirements are clearly represented within the broader program.
- Work closely with cross-functional subject matter experts in Finance, Risk, Legal, and Actuarial teams to support treaty changes, risk assessments, and financial analysis.
- Oversee the operational readiness for the onboarding of the business, including the design and implementation of necessary systems, reporting, controls, and governance processes.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
- Proven Project Manager or Change Lead with experience delivering complex, regulated change programmes within the insurance or financial services sectors.
- Strong understanding of reinsurance and insurance finance, with the ability to operate effectively in a capital, liquidity, and IFRS-driven environment.
- Experience delivering large-scale integration or transaction-related programmes, such as portfolio transfers and broader business integration.
- Demonstrated experience managing governance-heavy programmes, including providing decision support and preparing reports for Boards and Committees.
- Strong understanding of risk, controls, and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to work closely with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders effectively across different business entities and groups.
- Proven ability to manage complex interdependencies across multiple entities and workstreams.
- Highly organised, proactive, and delivery-focused, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and produce clear, concise, Board-ready outputs.
