This role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating closely on capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) review, and documentation control.
Key accountabilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities to ensure timely and efficient production under GMP conditions.
- Monitor batch production records and ensure all activities are compliant with regulatory and safety requirements.
- Enforce strict compliance with GMP, EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), and internal quality standards.
- Work in close collaboration with engineering and project teams on new equipment installations and facility upgrades.
- Review and interpret P&IDs and engineering documents for accuracy and alignment with operational requirements.
- Train, mentor, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Support cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Maintenance.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing, ideally within a CMO and GMP-regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical process operations, safety standards, and batch manufacturing.
- Familiarity with P&ID interpretation and engineering document control.
- Experience working with or supporting CAPEX projects in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
