Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a Materials Analyst on behalf of a well-known manufacturing company.
As Materials Analyst, you’ll support the source team to ensure material availability is aligned with our suppliers, customers, manufacturing, and management. You will lead contact with our supply chain and maintain appropriate communication channels with all stakeholders. You are responsible for dedicated production areas and improving productivity through digitalisation and automation. You will monitor the right inventory levels and run small improvement projects to make our supply chain more resilient and efficient.
The role is responsible for:
- Managing stock levels, ensuring good availability of materials at lineside to support the production plan whilst considering costs and space.
- Participating in regular production meetings, communicating any known issues, and working towards sustainable solutions.
- Managing open Purchase Orders and tracking delivery of materials, agreeing on appropriate transport methods to maintain good supply.
- Effectively managing master data, selecting appropriate methods to control stock levels (lot sizes, min/max levels, safety stocks, kanban, etc.).
- Maintaining good supplier relationships with regular, structured vendor meetings and ad hoc communications as required.
- Driving continuous improvement within your own area of responsibility and participating in cross-functional projects as required, applying state-of-the-art digital tools.
Requirements for the role:
- Proven experience in material planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Commercial experience, including relationship management, negotiation skills, contractual frameworks, and service level agreements.
- SAP experience is an essential requirement.
- Communication skills – clear communication at all levels across the business, both internally and externally. Ability to proactively participate in open discussions and present in a logical and structured manner.
