Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday flexible shifts, 35 hours.
The successful R&D Technologist will join the team and help support both the Laboratory and Factory. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled team working for an innovative and exciting brand.
The R&D Technologist will help with:
- Food safety and quality testing
- Microbiology testing
- Analysing data
- Sampling and inspection of raw materials at receiving, finished product for the sample library, label, and store them as per the procedure
- Sampling and testing of in-process and/or finished product samples for troubleshooting, including held product for review and disposition by Q&FS
- Collecting environmental swabs following the Micro Standard and submitting for testing
- Participating in the MGS quality control program
- Registering samples and swabs for external laboratory analysis
- Analysing microscopy on foreign bodies and preparing a database
- Data collection, trend analysis, and reporting of test results, non-conformances (NCs) including S-CAPA, CAPA, PRIMP, and customer complaints
- Participating in the quality panel to determine product conformance to a standard
- Supporting line trials led by Q&FS/PPI/Packaging teams
- Investigating customer and consumer complaints for root cause and preventive action
- Document control: updating Q&FS documents on digital platforms, preparing logbooks (Q&FS forms) for the factory, and archiving documents
- Participating in process confirmation, internal audit, glass and plastic, and GMP/GHP audit program
- Coordinating training of quality-related topics for supply associates
- Providing input into Material Risk Assessments
Previous laboratory or factory experience within a food testing environment is essential.
Analytical testing experience is required.
SAP Business knowledge is desired but not essential.
University graduates/interns are welcome to apply if they have lab experience through studying.
