Randstad Sourceright is seeking highly skilled PLM Consultants to join a major client in the Energy sector. These roles will function as Use Case Leads within the critical PLM360 programme.
You will be responsible for coordinating business requirements, owning and managing the use-case backlog, and driving successful, end-to-end delivery across core PLM capabilities, including Documents, Requirements, PDP, Classification, and MBSE.
Acting as the business proxy where internal resources are constrained, you will ensure that each capability area is fully understood, comprehensively documented, appropriately prioritised, and successfully integrated into the overall PLM ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead Requirement Management: Spearhead the gathering of business requirements and meticulously maintain User Stories & Functional Requirements within Jira.
- Backlog Ownership: Own the use case/component backlog, translating strategic goals into actionable sprint objectives.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate closely with cross-functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Solution Architects, and key business stakeholders.
- Gap Analysis & Alignment: Proactively identify gaps and ensure alignment between existing business practices and proposed PLM upgrade solutions, working with the business to define and implement best practices.
- Quality Assurance: Validate that delivered functionality meets defined business needs through dedicated validation and testing support.
- Design Representation: Represent your specific component in all design reviews, dependency discussions, and alignment sessions.
- Data Strategy: Identify and define any necessary data migration requirements.
- Business Readiness: Support comprehensive business readiness activities, including 'Show & Tell' sessions, sandbox testing, and training material contributions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- PLM Expertise: Strong foundational background in PLM, with practical experience in Teamcenter being highly advantageous.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to effectively coordinate diverse, cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other domains.
- Requirement Definition: Demonstrated expertise in defining User Stories, Functional Requirements, and mapping detailed business processes.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical information into clear, accessible business language.
- Validation: Experience supporting testing, validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles.
- Domain Knowledge: Practical experience within the Documents, Requirements, PDP, Classification, and MBSE domains.
- Methodology: Understanding of core systems engineering methodologies (e.g., MBSE frameworks).
- Industry Context: Prior experience working in engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Tooling: Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and concepts related to the digital thread.
