Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a Package Repair Coordinator to join a world leader offering products, solutions and services across the entire energy value chain on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organisation to play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations. You will shape a competitive, sustainable supply chain, partnering globally to drive productivity, quality, and digitalisation.
You will be primarily responsible for delivering end-to-end overhaul of package equipment within our supply network, with a focus toward larger capital equipment. Once delivered, the overhauled equipment is available for scheduled maintenance requirements.
Some of the duties will include but are not limited to:
- Manage the complete rebuild and repair process of package equipment with a specific focus on larger capital equipment within the supply network.
- Ensure that once equipment is overhauled, it is readily available to meet upcoming scheduled maintenance requirements.
- Issue formal tender requirements to the vendor network to gather repair quotes.
- Engage closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing, search for cost-saving opportunities, and secure the best financial solutions for the business.
- Manage the repair timeline by establishing regular contact and touchpoints with suppliers based on individual contract requirements.
- Review adjusted price quotes from suppliers that are updated based on what was found during the initial inspection.
- Examine initial equipment teardown and inspection reports alongside the supplier and service engineers.
- Evaluate and determine the most successful and economically viable external suppliers to handle specific overhaul projects.
- Deliver ad-hoc overhauls for equipment owned directly by customers as a secondary function.
Essential Requirements:
- A solid grounding or background in engineering is highly desirable to understand the technical aspects of the machinery, inspection reports, and witness testing.
- Must be a dynamic individual with a proven ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills to successfully integrate and work cross-functionally with various internal departments (including Aftermarket Planning, Engineering, Finance, Site Returns, Warehousing, Spares Engineering, and Fault Report Teams).
- Ability to manage external vendors, keep track of contract requirements, and maintain appropriate touchpoints throughout the repair process.
- Capability to issue tender requirements, engage with a vendor network, and negotiate effectively to determine the best cost-out solutions.
- Willingness and ability to travel to supplier sites to attend witness tests for capital equipment when required.
Desirable Requirements:
- A solid grounding or qualification in engineering is explicitly noted as highly desirable for this role.
- Prior exposure to managing or coordinating larger, high-value capital equipment overhauls rather than just small standard parts.
- Experience or capability in identifying and developing new opportunities to increase the consumption and reuse of overhauled parts.
- Ability to confidently review technical inspection reports and final documentation alongside suppliers and service engineers.
