Role purpose:

As a member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) you will have overall management and responsibility of all activities in the area of engineering and maintenance for all MM assets. You are accountable for the performance and results of the assigned area including quality, costs and safety.

Key accountabilities:

  • Managing sustainable all engineering and maintenance activities across the site
  • Full responsibility for all aspects of human resource management such as qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions and discipline issues
  • Build up and sustain a successful, high performing team. Maintain a culture of empowerment and innovation, trust, high performance and change readiness. Implements a vision as service provider in his organization.
  • Ensures a good information exchange from the upper management levels to his/her team and the other way around through regularly team meetings and escalation of technical issues
  • Responsible for developing and implementing the Maintenance strategy, standards and concepts in alignment with the site. Focus on cost-efficient preventive maintenance
  • Secures with his/her organization professional and economic execution of maintenance activities and high availability of the manufacturing units
  • Responsible for control and compliance of annual maintenance budget, lump sum and CAPEX budget. Responsible for control of own cost centers, identifies and implements cost reduction measures

Key requirements:

  • Strong technical background, high level of self-motivation, integrity, perseverance and result orientation
  • Significant work experience in engineering and/or maintenance preferably in chemical / pharma environment
  • Leadership experience
  • GMP and EHS knowledge
  • Practical experience of OE / LEAN – methodology is a plus
