The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Location: Birstall (4 days onsite)

Contract length: 12 month initial contract

Hours: Part time or Full time

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Birstall drawings management system. A key focus of this role is ensuring that the site's CAD drawings across multiple Engineering disciplines are compliant with local legislative standards and adhere to good industry practices.

This position involves collaboration with Project Engineers, Reliability teams, and other key stakeholders to produce and update necessary drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
  • Manage the site drawings register, acting as the primary accountable person.
  • Maintain drawings to "As-built" status by conducting factory surveys.
  • Support the Engineering team with the development and revision of layouts.
  • Provide assistance during design and construction reviews as required.
  • Work with external stakeholders on site 3D model accuracy, feedback, and managing changes.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers and production teams.
  • Contribute to the improvement of existing designs and documentation.

Key Skills / Experience Required:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Draftsperson or CAD Designer.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
  • Skilled in translating engineering concepts into precise, detailed technical drawings.
  • Solid grasp of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven capacity to work autonomously and consistently meet deadlines.
