Location: Peterlee - Office-based

Contract Length: 12 months

Pay Rate: £25.40 - £29.50 per hour

Hours: Mon-Thu 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Fri 7:30 am - 12:00 pm

In this role, you will be responsible for mechanically integrating electrical solutions across a diverse range of heavy-duty vehicles.

What You Will Do
  • Oversee the packaging and integration of electrical systems within complex vehicle platforms, ensuring robust routing and protection.
  • Design and develop components, brackets, harness routing paths, enclosures, and installation schemes that balance electrical performance with mechanical durability.
  • Partner with mechanical design, electrical systems, manufacturing, suppliers, and purchasing to optimise performance, quality, durability, and cost.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to address assembly feasibility, tolerance stack-up, and installation repeatability.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Hands-on experience with Creo, Vis View, and Teamcenter.
  • Experience within Automotive Industrial, Agricultural Industrial, Mobile Equipment, or any heavy industry featuring complex harness routing.
  • Proven experience with vehicle systems integration, including routing, packaging, structural interfaces, and installation design.
  • Ability to identify root causes and develop technical solutions across both electrical and mechanical domains.
