Are you an organised warehouse or production professional with an eye for detail? Are you looking to develop your career within a modern, highly regulated manufacturing facility? We are seeking a reliable Raw Material Handler to join a global leader at their state-of-the-art site in Newcastle.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the supply chain, ensuring that production lines have the exact materials they need, exactly when they need them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Inspection: Receive incoming raw materials, verifying paperwork and inspecting delivery quality.
- Inventory Control: Label, organize, and store materials in accordance with strict site safety and quality standards (SOPs).
- Production Support: Issue materials to production teams based on work orders and batch records, utilizing FIFO/FEFO inventory practices.
- Data Tracking: Accurately log material movements using internal stock management systems.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks/forklifts) to move stock around the warehouse.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready warehouse environment.
What We Are Looking For:
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy is essential for tracking batches and ensuring quality standards.
- Warehouse Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
- Forklift Experience: A current Forklift License (Counterbalance/Reach) is a major advantage, though a willingness to learn is also welcome.
- Regulated Environment Knowledge: Previous experience working to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) or within a food/pharma/chemical environment is a distinct advantage.
- Physical Fitness: This is an active role in a manufacturing/warehouse setting that involves walking, standing, and manual handling (lifting up to 40-50 lbs using correct PPE).
- Tech Literacy: Basic computer skills for logging stock data.
