Joining a premier mechanical engineering firm who specialise in high-precision press tooling, CNC machining, and fabrication you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of precision components and tooling - from offline programming in Fusion, Inventor, and VISI, to the hands-on manufacture of bespoke jigs and fixtures.
Key Responsibilities
- CAD/CAM Programming: Utilise Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, and VISI
- Toolmaking: Design, manufacture, and maintain high-precision jigs, fixtures, and press tooling
- CNC Set-Up & Machining: Set up and operate various CNC machines (Milling and Turning) using FANUC controls to produce "right first time" components.
- Bespoke Projects: Work on low-volume, high-complexity parts and "one-off" tooling requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Perform first-off and final inspections to ensure all work meets quality standards and client specifications.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Software: Proficient in VISI (ideally for tool & die), Autodesk Inventor, and Fusion 360.
- Control Systems: Comprehensive experience with FANUC programming and operation.
- Machining: Expertise in setting and operating 3-axis/multi-axis mills and lathes.
- Experience: Proven track record in a Toolroom environment, specifically in the creation of jigs and fixtures.
Working Hours: Mon-Thurs (07:30-16:30) and an early finish on Fridays (12:30).
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
