Shifts: Monday - Friday 7am - 3.30pm (plus an on call rota)
Salary: Circa £52,000 - £53,000 per annum / OTE = £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

The Company: My client is a national energy recovery company, with over 300 sites across the country. This ethical, sector leading firm is seeking a controls and instrumentation engineer with experience within the automated / manufacturing / power industry or similar environment work experience to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The Candidate: The ideal candidate would be a competent C&I engineer comfortable working in a heavy duty working with PLCs and calibration. If you enjoy a well organised and steady paced work environment, but also enjoy a challenge, this could be the position for you.
Responsibilities:
- Working as part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for fault-finding and diagnostics of the site equipment and the ability to single-handedly rectify errors.
- This will include working with the interface, CMMS systems, pressure transmitters, switches, various plc controls, DCS/SCADA and generally overseeing the site wide calibrations and the overall power generation controls.
- You must be willing to work alongside other functions as necessary, assisting with supervision of contractors, hold management of calibration records and implementation of instrument calibrations.
- Be fully conversant with instrument loop drawings and P&IDs and work as part of a team striving for continual improvement in minimising environmental Health & Safety risk.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience working as an C&I technician working on an industrial site.
- Proven ability to manage your own time and carry out work independently.
- Have completed a full onsite apprenticeship and hold a ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent.
- Enthusiastic, approachable and a can do attitude to work.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Understanding of Environmental and H&S issues and their impacts (training will be given).
- Experience in working with Safe Systems of Work (PTW). Training will be given.
