Position Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Delivery Driver II to join our team in Loughborough. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of company goods to and from customers and suppliers. You will play a vital role in planning and operating efficient routes while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliveries & Collections: Safely transport and collect goods, coordinating empty chemical bottle collections from route customers.
- Route Operations: Sort parcels into proper mode, route, and drop sequences. Assist supervisors with route planning and remain flexible to change delivery routes at short notice.
- Vehicle & Safety Compliance: Complete daily vehicle checks, report defects, and strictly adhere to M.O.T regulations (highway code, driving hours, and ADR).
- Customer Service: Maintain professional, polite, and positive working relations with all customers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Documentation: Complete loading/delivery run sheets and accurately report any missed deliveries or shortages.
- Safety & Logistics: Handle goods and hazardous substances using safe-working practices at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Licensing: Must hold a clean, current driving license-minimum Class C (7.5T), though a Class C2 (7.5T+) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver with ADR / Dangerous Goods experience is essential. A minimum of 6 months of multi-drop delivery experience is preferred.
- Certifications: Ideally, candidates will hold a valid Drivers CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competency) and an ADR vocational license.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and comfortably able to lift and move loads up to 25kg.
- Flexibility: Willingness to occasionally spend nights away while completing 2-day delivery runs.
- Professionalism: You must be smartly presented at all times in the appropriate uniform and safety footwear (PPE provided).
