We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager with a hands‑on engineering background to join our team. Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Operate and manage bespoke machinery installations in line with site rules and client contractual requirements.
  • Technical Management: Perform and oversee planned and unplanned maintenance, installations, and fault diagnosis on complex food manufacturing equipment.
  • Safety & Standards: Ensure all work is done safely, meeting strict food‑grade hygiene and environmental standards.
  • Independent Execution: Work independently to manage project timelines and ensure seamless delivery for clients across the UK.
  • Client & Vendor Liaison: Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and manufacturing clients to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Technical Documentation: Manage permit‑to‑work systems and issue technical safety‑to‑work documents for onsite installations.
  • Resource Support: Provide cover and support for multidisciplinary teams to ensure site‑based project success.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A formal engineering qualification, such as an HNC or equivalent, in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • Hands‑on Experience: A strong background as a hands‑on engineer, specifically within a food manufacturing or industrial process environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience delivering complex industrial installation packages, preferably involving bespoke machinery.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of permit‑to‑work systems, electrical isolations, and interpreting engineering drawings/specifications.
  • IT Literacy: Must be computer literate and proficient in reporting systems.
