Are you a seasoned project leader with a background in the life sciences or medical device industry? We are seeking two high-level Senior Project Managers to join the Speciality Diagnostics Group and drive critical business transformation and change control initiatives.
The Opportunity
- Pay Rate: £40 per hour.
- Salary Equivalent: £81,700
- Duration: 10-month initial contract with the possibility of extension up to 24 months.
- Location: Basingstoke-remote (Office hours, flexible).
- Workplace: Full-time, remote.
The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a pivotal leader ensuring project management teams achieve the strategic goals set by Group leadership. You will manage complex, cross-divisional projects with a heavy focus on innovation and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Contribute to setting the strategic direction for business transformation and partner across functions to achieve organisational goals.
- Project Execution: Develop project tasks, deliverables, and resource requirements while exercising rigorous scope management.
- Risk & Financial Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and oversee project team budgets in collaboration with Finance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate project team meetings, drive cross-functional decision-making, and act as the primary contact for project information.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all deliverables meet regulatory requirements and quality systems, particularly for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead 'lessons learned' sessions to harmonise project management best practices across the program.
Your Profile
- Experience: At least 9 years of industry experience, including 5 years in progressively responsible project management roles.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline. An M.B.A. or advanced science degree is an advantage.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of FDA & GMP compliance, Design Controls (DC), and regulatory standards for medical devices or diagnostics.
- Software Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in MS Project (or related software) for Gantt chart and critical path management.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams from concept to market in a matrixed environment.
- Certification: PMP certification is considered a plus.
