Are you an Stores Operative?

We currently have a temporary Stores operative role available with DS Smith. This role is ideal for someone with previous admin and data entry experience

  • Role: Stores Operative
  • Shifts: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm or 8am-4pm
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Location: DS Smith Packaging, South Mills, The Ridgeway, Blunham, Bedford MK44 3PH
  • 100% site based
  • Main tasks include
  • Monitoring stock levels, ensuring that material is available as required to meet production plans
  • Goods in, goods out
  • Booking and processing deliveries
  • Cooperate with purchasing and planning team to ensure materials are available
  • Reorder materials and consumables to avoid shortages
  • Stock Control: Investigate discrepancies between physical and system stock
  • Ensure items are properly labelled and stored promptly
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods and materials against delivery notes
  • Loading & unloading deliveries with FLT

Requirements

  • Excellent IT skills and proficient in the use of Google suite & Microsoft Office suite
  • FLT Counterbalance licence
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude with ability to prioritise a range of different tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills, at all levels, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with other members of staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • Confident, enthusiastic and tenacious
