  • ICT Delivery: Providing high-quality instruction in Information Technology, including web design, database management, and digital media.
  • GCSE & BTEC Preparation: Delivering the GCSE Computer Science specification and/or BTEC Tech Awards in Digital Information Technology.
  • Innovation: Staying current with emerging technologies (AI, Cyber Security, etc.) and incorporating these into the curriculum to keep learning relevant.
  • Technical Mentorship: Supporting students with their NEA (Non-Exam Assessment) projects and fostering independent problem-solving skills.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Required. We also welcome applications from ECTs with a strong IT background.
  • Specialist Knowledge: A degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Python, Scratch, HTML/CSS, and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Classroom Management: The ability to manage a computer suite effectively, ensuring students remain on-task and engaged.
  • Location: Based in or able to commute easily to Wickford via the A127 or Greater Anglia rail links.
