Are you a passionate and qualified Early Years specialist looking for a stable, school-based role with excellent working hours? We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming school nursery team in Wickford for an immediate start. This position runs during term-time only, offering the perfect work-life balance with consistent daily hours. You will be contracted until the end of the academic year, with a strong potential for the role to extend further or become permanent based on performance. Your Role:
- Early Years Delivery: Supporting the room lead to provide a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment for nursery-aged children.
- Interactive Learning: Implementing fun, play-based, and sensory activities aligned with the EYFS framework to promote early development.
- Observations & Progress: Assisting with child observations and tracking developmental milestones to ensure every child thrives.
- Care & Well-being: Maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and safeguarding while building trusting relationships with both children and parents.
Requirements:
- A valid, UK-recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting (school nursery experience is a major plus).
- A warm, nurturing approach with excellent communication and team-working skills.
- Full availability for an immediate start and a commitment to the school's term dates.
- An enhanced child workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Right to work in the UK.
