We are seeking a visionary and resilient Deputy Headteacher to join the senior leadership team (SLT) of a reputable secondary school in Wickford. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious leader ready to drive school-wide improvement and uphold the highest standards of academic excellence and student welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Assist the Headteacher in the day-to-day management of the school and the implementation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP).
- Curriculum & Attainment: Oversee the development of a broad, balanced curriculum and lead on rigorous quality assurance of teaching and learning.
- Staff Development: Line manage Heads of Department and senior staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and accountability.
- Behaviour & Culture: Drive a positive school climate through the effective implementation of behaviour policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Data & Performance: Analyse whole-school data to identify trends, oversee interventions, and report progress to the Governing Body.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant experience in a middle or senior leadership role (e.g., Assistant Head or Head of Faculty).
- NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) is highly desirable.
