The predicted salary is between 22 - 24 Β£ per hour.
We are seeking experienced, dedicated, and passionate Qualified Teachers with SEND experience to join our team in the Trafford area. As a SEN Qualified Teacher, you will provide high-quality, tailored tuition sessions to students across various year groups, ranging from Year 1 to Post-16, in Maths and/or English and/or Science, as well as potentially other subjects. You will deliver tuition in line with the current UK national curriculum and work to build students' academic confidence, social skills, and overall success.
Sessions are available on school premises, at students' homes, or in public spaces (such as libraries). Tuition can range from 1 hour per week to up to 15 hours per week, and as a SEND Qualified Teacher you will have the opportunity to form long-term, meaningful relationships with students, offering consistent support and encouragement throughout their academic journey.
Pay rate: Β£28 - Β£30 per hour PAYE
The students will come from different backgrounds, and have a variety of SEN and SEMH including, but not limited to, ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Dyslexia. Physical or Sensory Needs might be present as well as Challenging Behaviour. Please note, a responsible adult will be on hand to help during the sessions, and, for learners whose needs are very high, there will be carers present in order to support as well.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tuition sessions in Maths and/or English and/or Science, and potentially other subjects, following the UK national curriculum in the Trafford area.
- Work with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and adjust approaches to ensure inclusivity and accessibility in learning.
- Provide individualised support for students in both core academic subjects and social development.
- Work with students across a range of year groups, from Key Stage 1 through to Post-16.
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that cater to each student's unique learning needs.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that builds students' confidence and self-esteem.
- Maintain ongoing communication with students and their families regarding progress and any areas for further development.
Requirements
- Have a QTS status.
- Proven experience in delivering tuition in Maths and/or English, and/or Science to learners with different SEN needs.
- Strong understanding of the current UK national curriculum.
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, positive relationships with students.
- A DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one before employment commences.
