Are you a Level 2 or 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with primary classroom experience? Are you looking for an opportunity to work with new schools, make connections, and advance your teaching career? We are currently seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant for ad-hoc work in the Wigan area, available from Monday to Friday. The role offers an hourly rate of £13.68 - £16.68 with flexible work available throughout the week. While the position is ad-hoc, there is the potential for long-term and permanent opportunities based on performance and school needs.

Your Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
  • Collaborate with children individually or in small groups to enhance their learning.
  • Serve as a positive role model for both students and colleagues.
  • Foster positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members, including specialists.
  • Assist the class teacher in resource preparation and activity setup.
Responsibilities:
  • Help prepare a lesson and tidy the classroom afterwards.
  • Provide assistance with lesson plans.
  • Support children across the curriculum.
  • Give extra support to children with special needs.
  • Help mark work.
  • Report student progress.
  • Help look after the children during school trips and activities.
  • Look after children that are unwell.
  • Attend meetings.
  • Confidence in guiding individuals or small groups.
  • A positive attitude and effective communication skills.
Essential requirements:
  • Experience working with young people.
  • Class management skills.
  • Comfortable managing challenging behaviour.
  • Able to engage with and motivate children.
  • TA Qualified.
