Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are an all-through school (ages 5-16) in the North of Bath, committed to providing exceptional education for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. We\’re looking for a talented Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with their academic work, offering both individual and group assistance.
- Creating a safe and supportive learning environment specifically tailored for students with SEMH needs.
- Collaborating closely with teachers to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing valuable feedback to teachers.
- Assisting with classroom management and implementing effective behaviour support strategies.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and their families, fostering trust and open communication.
- Participating enthusiastically in school events and activities.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs.
- A genuinely patient, understanding, and empathetic approach.
