Teaching Assistant

School Description

Randstad is partnering with a school that offers a rewarding and vibrant team environment, full support and ongoing training, and inclusion in their School Wellbeing strategy. This role will be an integral part of the school\’s support team, directly impacting the learning and development of students with additional needs.

Job Description

  • Provide support to students with SEMH needs in a classroom setting.
  • Assist the teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Support students with their learning, both individually and in groups.
  • Implement and monitor individualised education programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for student support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements

We\’re looking for you, if:

  • You have experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You are patient, empathetic, and have a positive attitude.
  • You have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above.
  • You are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are committed to supporting the learning and development of students with additional needs.
