The Role: Teacher of Health and Social Care (KS5)

This is an exceptional full-time role based in Bradford, commencing as soon as possible (ASAP). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Key Stage 5 Health and Social Care curriculum to a diverse and motivated student body, driving high levels of achievement and aspiration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver outstanding lessons for all KS5 Health and Social Care courses.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Design and implement effective intervention strategies to support student progress and close attainment gaps.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the continuous development and review of the subject curriculum and resources.
  • Act as a personal tutor, providing academic and pastoral guidance to a designated group of students.
  • Participate in whole-college activities, including parents\\\’ evenings and staff training.
  • Undertake administrative tasks associated with the teaching role efficiently and accurately.
  • Liaise with external examination bodies and ensure accurate moderation and submission of student work.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
