A Career Built on Impact, Not Just Academics

We are seeking qualified and passionate SEN Teachers to lead small groups and structured learning environments within EYFS, KS1, and KS2 settings. This role is ideal for practitioners deeply invested in child development, neurodiversity, and inclusive education. You will architect the learning pathways for children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), ADHD, and Speech and Language challenges.

Nurture & Growth: Witness and facilitate the incredible milestones—from a non-verbal child communicating a need to a student successfully mastering a complex social interaction.

Collaborative Leadership: Direct and mentor a dedicated team of 1:1 Teaching Assistants to deliver cohesive, high-impact support.

Work-Life Balance: Enjoy typical school hours (approx. 8:30 am - 3:30 pm) within supportive, well-resourced local schools.

Your Role as an Educational Architect

As an SEN Teacher, you aren't just delivering a generic curriculum; you are tailoring an educational experience to individual human needs.

  • Curriculum Adaptation: Adapt the primary curriculum to meet EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets, ensuring learning is accessible, engaging, and meaningful.
  • Inclusive Strategies: Integrate creative tools and systems into your classroom, such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), "Now & Next" visual schedules, and scheduled sensory breaks to reduce anxiety.
  • Holistic Progress Tracking: Assess academic, social, and emotional development, celebrating the "small wins" that represent massive breakthroughs for your students.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with the school SENCO, Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, and parents to build a holistic web of support around each child.

Essential Requirements

We value resilience, empathy, and strong classroom leadership above all else. You are an ideal fit if you hold:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS: Applications are welcome from both experienced SEN specialists and mainstream teachers looking to transition into special education.
  • Natural Patience & Adaptability: You understand that progress isn't always linear and that every child's timeline is unique.
  • Strong SEN Knowledge: Experience working with ASD, GDD, or complex speech and language needs (within a school, specialist unit, or alternative provision).
  • Commitment to Safeguarding: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to child welfare.
