Randstad Education is seeking an experienced and proactive Primary Teaching Assistant for an immediate vacancy at a primary school in the north of Horley. This is a critical role requiring a dedicated professional to provide stability and support for our pupils through to the Easter holidays.
The Role
Working within a vibrant primary setting, you will provide essential classroom support, ensuring students remain engaged and on track with their learning objectives. As this is a backfill position, we need someone who can "hit the ground running," quickly building rapport with students and supporting the class teacher effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions to support academic and emotional progress.
- Implementing classroom strategies to ensure an inclusive and focused learning environment.
- Assisting with the preparation of resources and classroom management.
- Adhering to the school's safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
Requirements (Essential)
- Experience: Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- Availability: Must be able to commit to 5 days a week (08:30 - 15:30) for the full duration of the contract.
- Transport: A driver's licence and access to a vehicle are highly preferred to ensure reliable travel to the north end of Horley.
- DBS: Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to process one immediately).
- Skills: A nurturing approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a new school environment quickly.
