Permanent SEN Teacher Required - Specialist SEMH School

Are you an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding permanent role in a specialist setting? We are seeking an outstanding, passionate, and resilient SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team permanently at our specialist school, which focuses on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the specific SEMH and learning needs of a small class group.
  • Develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress rigorously against personalised targets.
  • Utilise your expertise in behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment where all pupils can achieve.
  • Work closely with a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants and support staff, directing their work effectively to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, parents/carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team (e.g., therapists, social workers) to provide holistic support.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum and the overall school ethos.

What We Are Looking For

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Demonstrably experienced in teaching pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH needs (essential).
  • Highly skilled at adapting the curriculum to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.

  • Proactive and skilled in positive behaviour management and de-escalation.
