The award‑winning, nationally recognised specialist school offers education for children aged 5‑19 with SEN or complex needs. With over 90 learners and full enrolment, the setting offers the opportunity to learn new skills, life skills, build confidence and achieve educational goals such as GCSEs, A‑Levels, and vocational courses.

The school is recruiting for a 1:1 teaching assistant/trainee teacher to work full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:45 am–4:45 pm, commencing as soon as possible.

Requirements
  • Relevant childcare, teaching assistant or care experience, with references required
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Experience supporting children or adults with SEN needs (desirable)
  • Calm, nurturing and resilient individual
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Responsibilities
  • Support learners on a 1:1, small group and whole‑class basis
  • Support the educational and general well‑being of SEN learners
  • Promote, encourage and create a fun and engaging learning environment
  • Complete the 2‑year training programme to become a teacher
