Are you a patient, empathetic, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Randstad Education is working with a number of inclusive and supportive schools who are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team and help students thrive both academically and emotionally.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you\’ll work closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to provide 1:1 or small group support to children with additional needs. These may include:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • ADHD

  • Speech and Language difficulties

  • Learning difficulties

  • Emotional or behavioural challenges

You will play a vital role in helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop independence in a safe and nurturing environment.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting)

  • A compassionate and adaptable attitude

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Confidence in managing behaviour calmly and effectively

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above

  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided)

  • Relevant SEN or childcare qualifications are a plus
