Position: Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: £90 - £100 per day

Location: Southend-on-Sea

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join an innovative team. This role involves supporting students with a range of learning, physical, and behavioural needs. You will work closely with Teachers and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping each student reach their full potential. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 and small group support: Assist students with their academic and personal development.
  • IEP implementation: Help deliver individualised education plans and track student progress.
  • Behavioural management: Use positive reinforcement and strategies to support students' emotional and social needs.
  • Collaboration: Work with teachers, parents, and therapists to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Classroom assistance: Help prepare materials and maintain a safe, stimulating learning space.

  • Experience working with children, especially those with SEN.
  • Child DBS on update service.
