The Role
- Supporting Learning: Helping students understand lesson objectives and keeping them focused on their tasks.
- Managing Behaviour: Using your communication skills to de-escalate low-level disruption and keep the class on track.
- Building Rapport: Quickly establishing a connection with students who may be meeting you for the first time.
- Assisting Staff: Working alongside class teachers to prepare resources and ensure the school day runs efficiently.
