Are you looking for high-impact, hands-on experience to launch your career in healthcare, education, or behavioural science? Theoretical knowledge is a great foundation, but nothing beats real-world, clinical exposure. We are currently recruiting forward-thinking individuals to join a leading specialist campus in Lingfield, Surrey. This centre provides world-class education and residential care for children and young adults (aged 4-25) with complex special educational needs, including epilepsy, autism, and severe learning disabilities.
If you have 3-6 months of basic care experience and are looking for a role that offers fully funded professional qualifications and professional development, this is your launchpad.
The Professional Edge: Why This Role Fits Your Goals
Unlike traditional healthcare roles, this position operates term-time only (39 weeks/year) with Monday-to-Friday shift patterns. This gives you your weekends and academic holidays completely free to pursue further study, research, or personal commitments.
What we offer to build your CV:
- Funded Professional Qualifications: We pay for your professional development and care qualifications.
- Multi-Disciplinary Exposure: Work directly alongside teachers, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and healthcare clinicians.
- Clear Career Progression: Fast-track opportunities into senior care, coordination, or specialised practitioner roles.
- Practical Benefits: Free on-site parking, subsidised meals in our on-site restaurant, occupational pension, and potential access to affordable on-site accommodation.
The Role: Clinical & Behavioural Support
In this role, you won't just be managing routines; you will be actively implementing specialised care plans and analysing behavioural data to foster independence. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Behavioural & Independence Coaching: Supporting young people with daily living skills, fostering self‑reliance, and managing complex care needs with dignity.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partnering with clinical and educational teams to ensure holistic development.
- Case Management & Reporting: Accurately recording behavioural data, tracking progress indicators, and contributing to formal care plans.
- Crisis Management & Resilience: Managing behaviours that challenge. This is a rigorous role that will test and build your crisis‑de‑escalation, resilience, and emotional intelligence skills.
Shift Patterns (Monday to Friday Split)
Shifts are organised to optimise campus support. You will work a rotating mix of:
- Early: 06:45 to 13:30
- Late: 15:45 to 22:00
- Long Day/Split: 06:45 to 13:30 and 15:45 to 22:00
Who You Are
We are looking for analytical, resilient, and highly motivated individuals. This role is a perfect match if you are:
- A graduate or student in Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Social Work, or Education looking for elite field experience.
- An excellent communicator who can remain calm, objective, and analytical under pressure.
- A resilient team player who views challenging behaviours as a puzzle to solve rather than a barrier.
- Possess 3-6 months of baseline care experience and a driving desire to learn.
