Are you a highly effective and experienced SENDCo looking for a unique opportunity to shape the future of a brand-new secondary school? We\’re opening our doors in September 2025 and are seeking a passionate leader to join us in a full-time, permanent position. Your Key Responsibilities
As our SENDCo, you will be instrumental in:

Promoting best practices in teaching and learning for students with diverse needs.

Developing and implementing a high-quality curriculum tailored to our students.

Managing and coordinating all aspects of SEND provision, ensuring excellence across the board.

Collaborating effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies to create a supportive environment.

Overseeing the identification of meaningful post-16 destinations and implementing successful transition plans.

Advising and assisting school leadership on the strategic development of SEN policy and provision.
What We\’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:

QTS or QTLS (Qualified Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills).

A proven track record of excellence in teaching within a SEND environment.

Experience in leading and managing teams.

Strong communication skills, essential for effective collaboration.

Desirable qualifications include accredited training in specific areas of special education (e.g., Autism, Dyslexia) and a leadership/management qualification (NPQSL/H/SENDCo or willingness to achieve within 2 years).

The ability to manage complex situations, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
