Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent position

Randstad Education is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teachers for opportunities within schools. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment where children with special educational needs can truly thrive. This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday – Friday inline with school hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of SEN students
  • Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils, setting clear targets and monitoring progress
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students' learning and development
  • Assess pupil's abilities and progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as necessary
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies (e.g., therapists, psychologists) to provide holistic support
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social and emotional development
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on pupil progress for parents and senior management
  • Participate in professional development to stay updated on SEN best practices and legislation

Personal Attributes:

  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to engage with, and build rapport with the students.
  • Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
  • Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties.
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4.
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent.
