Role & Responsibilities
As a dedicated SEN Teacher, you will be instrumental in shaping the lives of young learners with autism, ADHD, and severe learning difficulties. You'll craft engaging and tailored lessons, creating a structured and consistent classroom environment where these children can thrive. You'll be empowered to make a real difference, working collaboratively within a supportive team.
Main tasks include
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the primary curriculum.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students with complex needs.
- Employ effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Provide personal care support as required.
- Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., therapists, teaching assistants) to develop and implement individualised education programs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching children with special educational needs in a UK setting
- Experience working with children aged 12-18 months in a designated special provision
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Passion for supporting children with complex needs
- Commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices
- Availability Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM β 3:30 PM
