About the School

We are a special educational needs (SEN) school catering to pupils aged 2 to 19. We are committed to providing a broad, balanced, and vibrant curriculum for students with a range of needs, including moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties with profound and multiple needs, and Autism. Our ethos is built on the belief that all pupils have the right to learn in an environment that is safe, stimulating, challenging, and supportive. We provide a highly personalised and inclusive curriculum with specialist approaches, focusing on the key skills of Communication, Cognition, Independence, Physical Development, and Self-care to equip our young people for life beyond school. You will be joining a dedicated team that works alongside a range of professionals, benefiting from small class sizes and the support of specialised teaching assistants (STAs).

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Teacher to join our fantastic team. You will be responsible for:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering a personalised and accessible curriculum that meets the individual needs of pupils in your class.
  • Ensuring the curriculum meets the requirements of the EYFS, National Curriculum (with modifications), or Post 16 curriculum, as appropriate for your phase group.
  • Working closely with our specialised teaching assistants and a range of professionals to provide a holistic learning experience.
  • Utilising a creative and engaging approach to learning, incorporating different themes, learning experiences, and community-based opportunities.
  • Maintaining high expectations for all pupils' achievement and behaviour.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience or a strong desire to work with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • A commitment to providing a personalised and inclusive education.
