Job Title: School Site Manager
Location: Liverpool
Salary: Β£30,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Start date: September 1st
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated School Site Manager to join our team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security and cleanliness of our school site, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all students, staff and visitors.
The Role
As the School Site Manager, you will be a key part of our school community. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Maintenance and Repairs: Performing general repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, carpentry and painting

Health and Safety: Ensuring the school premises are safe and compliant with all health and safety regulations. This includes conducting regular checks, risk assessments and managing fire safety procedures

Security: Being a key holder, managing the school's security systems and responding to out-of-hours emergencies as required

Supervision: Managing and directing the cleaning staff and external contractors

Grounds Maintenance: Overseeing the upkeep of the school grounds and outdoor areas

Administrative Tasks: Maintaining records of maintenance work, managing budgets for site supplies and liaising with the senior leadership team
The Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in a similar role, such as a caretaker, facilities manager, or handy person

A good understanding of health and safety legislation

Strong DIY and maintenance skills

Experience in managing and supervising staff

Excellent communication and organisational skills

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required
