We are seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to be the backbone of our school premises in Wrexham. This role is perfect for a hands-on problem-solver who takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
About the Role:
As a School Caretaker, you are the guardian of the school's physical space. Your work directly impacts the daily lives of students, teachers, and visitors by ensuring the buildings and grounds are secure, clean, and in excellent working order. From a simple repair to preparing the school for a big event, your contribution is visible and vital. You will be an essential part of the school community, providing essential support to the staff and pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security and Access: Be a key holder for the school, managing the locking and unlocking of all premises.
- Maintenance: Perform a variety of routine maintenance and repair tasks, including basic plumbing, painting, and joinery.
- Health and Safety: Conduct regular safety checks, respond to emergencies, and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards.
