Are you an energetic Physical Education specialist ready to ignite a lifelong passion for sport, health, and fitness in secondary students? Randstad Education is currently recruiting a qualified P.E. Teacher (QTS) to join an enthusiastic department at a well-regarded secondary school in Rushden. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic teacher who thrives on keeping pupils active, developing skills across a range of sports, and leading engaging practical sessions.
You will become part of a collaborative P.E. team with excellent indoor and outdoor facilities, dedicated to encouraging full participation, personal development, and healthy competition across all year groups.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver High-Energy P.E. Lessons: Plan and teach inclusive physical education sessions across KS3 and KS4, covering a wide range of individual sports, team games, and fitness activities.
- Full Teaching Duties: Take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, ongoing student assessment, and preparing older pupils for theoretical P.E. qualifications where required.
- Promote Inclusivity & Active Participation: Create an encouraging environment where pupils of all abilities build athletic confidence, spatial awareness, and strong teamwork skills.
- Extracurricular & Fixtures: Assist with after-school sports clubs, lunchtime activities, and fixtures against local schools to enhance the sporting life of the school.
- Safety & Standards: Maintain high safety standards across all sports facilities and equipment while managing pupil behaviour effectively.
- We are searching for an inspiring, organised educator with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for physical activity.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (Early Career Teachers are warmly encouraged to apply).
- Demonstrated experience teaching Physical Education within a UK secondary school setting.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to motivate pupils of all athletic abilities.
- Strong classroom and pitch management skills grounded in positive reinforcement and clear boundaries.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or readiness to process one through Randstad).
