A Different Way to Teach: Nurture Teacher (SEND)
Location: Chaldon, Surrey
Permanent | Small Class Sizes | Therapeutic Focus | £5,000 Welcome Bonus
Do you miss actually making a difference? In large mainstream schools, students with complex needs often get lost in the noise. In our brand-new specialist setting, we’ve removed the noise. We are looking for a Nurture Teacher who believes that a child must feel safe before they can learn.
What makes us different:
- Human-First Teaching: We operate on a non-confrontational model. We don’t "manage" behaviour; we support communication and emotional regulation.
- The Luxury of Time: With small class sizes and exceptionally high staff ratios, you finally have the time to understand each student’s sensory profile and "spark."
- The Support You Deserve: You are never alone. Our on-site multi-disciplinary team is in the trenches with you, providing the wrap-around care your students need.
The Role: Teaching 11-16-year-olds with Autism and SEMH needs. You will deliver a personalised, creative curriculum that focuses on "every opportunity to achieve" - no matter how small the step.
Apply if: You have QTS and are looking for a role where your empathy is considered your greatest teaching tool.
