Looking for a teaching role where you can actually focus on the students rather than endless paperwork? Want to be part of a brand-new school team where you can set your own classroom culture from day one? We are opening a beautiful, specialist secondary school for young people (ages 11-16) with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) needs. We need a warm, adaptable, and patient Nurture Teacher to help our small groups of students feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.

Why You'll Love This Job

  • A Fresh Start: No legacy issues, no "we've always done it this way." You get to help build this school community from scratch.
  • Small Class Sizes: Say goodbye to managing 30+ students. You will lead a small, dedicated Nurture group where you can make a real difference.
  • Unbeatable Support: You'll work side-by-side with therapeutic experts, meaning you are never left to handle challenging days on your own.
  • Great Perks: A £5,000 welcome bonus, fully funded training/qualifications, and great lifestyle discounts via Perkbox and Wagestream.

What the Role Involves

  • Creating a calm, welcoming, and predictable classroom space.
  • Teaching a flexible, creative curriculum tailored to what each student needs (guided by their EHCPs).
  • Using kindness, empathy, and positive reinforcement to help students manage their emotions and build social skills.

Who We Are Looking For

  • You have QTS: This is a requirement for the role. We welcome applications from Primary, Secondary, or Specialist backgrounds.
  • You understand SEND: You have experience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs (or a genuine passion to learn).
  • You have the right vibe: You are resilient, calm under pressure, and believe that a child's well-being is just as important as their grades.
